1926: Forsell brothers lead MHS football to win

Ninety years ago, on November 20, 1926, the Manteca High football team defeated the Ceres High eleven in Ceres. The score was 7 to 0. The teams played on a muddy field and the aerial game was relied on by both teams. Manteca took advantage of the breaks and scored their touchdown in the first few minutes of the game. Carlson blocked a Ceres punt and Fay Forsell fell on the ball at the 32. Five plays later, Ed Forsell passed to Joe Bianchi for the touchdown. Fay Forsell converted.
