Fifty years ago, on April 21, 1967, the Manteca High track team won two meets on consecutive days with impressive wins over St. Mary's High of Stockton and Encina High of Sacramento. The Buffaloes easily handled St. Mary's at Manteca Thursday, winning every event except one. Mel Montanio and Steve Mendosa each copped two events. They also took two events each in the Encina meet.
