"There's a special place in hell for women who don't help each other," said former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright in a message to young women voters at a weekend campaign event for Hillary Clinton. Clinton punctuated Albright's comment with her loud, phony laugh. Team Clinton later pointed out that Albright has used that line for years. Clinton herself described the line as "lighthearted," but pointed. Pointed? As in: Vote for Sanders, rot in hell.

The San Francisco Unified School District's board is poised to expand its Condom Availability Program for high school students into middle schools. The school district no longer offers Algebra I as an eighth-grade course - Algebra I has been folded into a two-year, eighth-grade and ninth-grade class that is supposed to be more comprehensive. But the board is ready to bring a high school program to middle school by handing out condoms to sixth-graders.

DEAR DR. ROACH: I am a 39-year-old male with systemic lupus. I read your article on artificial and natural immunity and how getting the flu shot helps "prime" the immune system. I have been told by some that priming the immune system with any vaccine is not a good idea in my case, since I could develop antibodies that attack my own body.

When I crossed paths with a Democratic campaign consultant in Austin last March, I suggested he come to the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers hall to hear Bernie Sanders speak. The Vermont senator, I added, was pondering a presidential run.

For me, the big question isn't which team wins in that football thing this weekend. The real big question is whether local anarchists and malcontents will try to shut down any big-name bridges, freeways or otherwise jam up the Bay Area's Super Bowl festivities.

The results in the Iowa caucuses are a rebuke to the notion that the national media have all the influence over America's voters. Donald Trump has been the overwhelmingly dominant figure on television news. Even his decision to duck a debate was treated as bigger news than the actual event, and he almost fell to third place in Iowa.

DEAR DR. ROACH: Two years ago, I took advantage of our local $99 low-dose CT scan for smokers at high risk of lung cancer (I certainly fit the criteria). Still smoking, I had the scan, and it was reported to me that they had "seen something" and wanted to do a follow-up PET scan. I quit smoking completely, cold turkey, the day before the PET scan, and have been cigarette-free ever since. Vividly, I remember telling myself for many years as I smoked that not if but when I met with the lung cancer doctor, I would not be a ...

Jeb Bush must be watching the Democratic primary with unadulterated envy. The Democratic debates have been comparatively civil - and conveniently scheduled to reduce viewership and impact. Bush has to contend with Donald Trump - and Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Marco Rubio of Florida. The establishment Democrat, Hillary Clinton, has only one serious challenger, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont. She doesn't have to calculate which rival -- or rivals -- to attack. In a small field, the more seasoned candidate has the advantage.
