1979: Buffs use 16 walks in win

Eighty years ago, on March 14, 1929, reports coming in from spring training quarters of the Seattle Indians in southern California indicated that Emil Theiler, former star player for the Manteca Maulers of the Don Pedro League, was doing fine work in practice games being held. He continued to play third base and bat in the leadoff position for Seattle. In the previous Friday's game against Oakland, he handled four chances but failed to dent the hit column.
