Placer stops Manteca United

In a showdown of unbeatens the Manteca United could not keep pace with the visiting Placer Gold in Saturday's Nor Cal League contest. The two squads came into the game with hopes of remaining perfect on the season, yet the United are now forced to deal with their first loss.

Delta Volleyball Club Holding Tryouts

The Delta Valley Volleyball Club will be holding tryouts for the 2009/2010 season on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Lodi Academy, 1230 South Central Avenue, Lodi. Tryouts will be at 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for 17-18 year olds; 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. for 15-16 year olds; 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. fro 12-14 year olds.
