Clifford M. Campoy, 79, of Farmington, passed away peacefully in his home May 4, 2009 with his family by his side. He was born in Monterey, on January 14, 1930 to John and Josephine Campoy.
Stanley E. Lewis, 30, of Ripon, passed away on, Thursday, April 30, 2009, at home in Ripon. He was born on September 18, 1978 in Stockton and lived in San Joaquin County for 25 years.
Efren P. Juarez, 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 2, 2009. He was born June 10, 1918 in Santa Fe. Mich., Mexico. He was a resident of Manteca for over 60 years. He leaves behind his adoring wife of nearly 65 years, Maria R. Juarez of Manteca; and six children; Roy Juarez and wife Rachel, DeeDee Limas and husband Danny, Salvador Juarez and wife Judy, Mary Denuit, Lucille Juarez Del Toro and husband Raul, Lupe Archibeque and husband Danny, all of Manteca. He was also blessed with 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Patrick W. Simmons, 54, a resident of Wilsall, Montana for the past three years and a former longtime Tracy resident, died Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2009, as the result of injuries he sustained in a single vehicle automobile accident just south of Wilsall. He left this world too suddenly for those who loved him. Cremation has taken place at Franzen-Davis Crematory in Livingston. Family services will be held at a later date.
Leith Henry Todd, 89, was a resident of Manteca for over 30 years. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born Sept. 2, 1919 in Big Heart, Oklahoma. He was raised in Modesto and lived most of his life in the valley until moving to Arizona in 2005.

LaVerne Riegle, 82, went home to her Lord and Savior, on March 3, 2014, in Manteca, Calif. She was born June 14, 1931, in Lynn, Okla. She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jerry. LaVerne leaves behind her children: Kay Miller (Ray); Terry Riegle; and Karen Ortiz (Donnie). She was blessed with five grandchildren: Kyle Miller; Kristopher Miller; Robbie Orlando; Ryann Christensen; Janna Miller; and twelve great-grandchildren. LaVerne also had many nieces and a nephew, whom she adored. In addition, LaVerne has one surviving sibling, Jerry Austin (Carole) of Los Banos, Calif.
David "Jimmy" Smith, age 72, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 5, in Stockton, CA. He was born on April 17, 1941, in Oakdale, CA to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David and Hazel Smith. We lost a good man. Gary Lee Jones lived his life with passion, full of love. He was a Deputy Sheriff, a Police Officer, a son, a brother, a father, a friend, and a husband. He is survived by his mother Anne; his brother Rick; his children Ryan (Susanna); Jennifer; Richard (RaeAnne); Anthony (Lisa); Michael; Lindsey; and Sam; his two grandchildren Dominic and Brendon; countless friends; including his ex-wife Marci (Shae); and his beloved wife Brenda. Anna Brouwer, age 89, passed peacefully at Bethany Home and went to be with her husband and the Lord on February 26, 2014. Anna was born September 4, 1924 in Hull, Iowa. Her parents were Coenradina and Herman Zwakenberg, who had emigrated from Holland in 1910.
Chester (Chet) Arthur Esenwein Jr. passed away early on Saturday from natural causes, after major surgery. He was 77 years old. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 8, 1936. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy where he earned his veteran status in the Vietnam War. He was well known as the best auto detailer in Manteca, owning his own detail business for many years.
