Eugene "Gene" Vecellio, 65, entered in to rest on April 14, 2013 in Modesto, CA. He was born on November 14, 1947 in Hayward, CA. He joins his father, Joseph Vecellio and his brother Stephen Vecellio in heaven.

Opal Jackson Peters of Manteca joined her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the age of 91 years. She was born on April 24, 1921 in Yuma, Arizona, the 10th of 13 children born to Melford and Nettie (Hulstine) Johnson.

Ben Hill Smartt, age 94, passed away after a brief illness on March 21, 2013. Born August 10, 1918 in Five Points, Alabama, Ben moved to Ripon from Macon Georgia in 1958 with his wife, Grace and their four children.

Elaine Crabtree Winter “Nonny”
Elaine Crabtree Winter went to heaven to meet her maker on April 8, 2013 at the age of 76. She was born in Drumheller, Alberta, Canada on January 27, 1937 to Harold and Margaret Lutes. Elaine worked as a Medical Staff Secretary to the Chief of Staff at Mills Hospital for 20 years. She then taught Court Reporting, retiring after 10 years.
Diana Sue Hicks
Diana Sue Hicks was born on August 30, 1957, in Stockton, California to Robert and Iris Hicks. Diana was a resident of Manteca for the majority of her life. She graduated from East Union High School in 1976, and later attended Delta Community College, where she took courses in Radio Broadcasting, one of her favorite hobbies.

Ronnie Berna, 68, of Tracy passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at home in Tracy with his family at his side. Ronnie was born August 11, 1944 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. He was the third of three children to Alfred and Janetta Berna. Ronnie left Oklahoma at the young age of four when his family moved to Manteca; where he attended both elementary and high school, graduating from Manteca High in 1963.
