He was a resident of Ripon for the past 3 years and was a prior resident of Redding. He was a veteran of the Navy and was a member of the American Legion & VFW. Wayne Arthur Johnson
Wayne Arthur Johnson, 90, passed away peacefully on April 26 in Manteca, California. Wayne was born on March 3, 1923 in Stockton, CA. Wayne was a World War II veteran, serving his time in the Pacific Theatre and taking part in the Battle of Palou and the Occupation of Japan. He settled in Manteca after the war and remained there for the remainder of his life, working as a farmer, for Best Fertilizer and Spreckle's Sugar.

Nita worked at Tri Valley Canneries for 15 years and then owned Vern Scott Trucking Company with her husband for 25 years. She was a member the Moose Lodge in Lodi for 38 years, A.M.A motorcycle association and of the C.V.M.M.A modified midgets racing.
