Paul Houston Williams, 86, of Manteca, CA passed away in the early morning of Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Chowchilla, CA. He owned and operated "Williams Chevron Service" in Chowchilla and Manteca for 35 years before retiring in 1986. After retirement he enjoyed fishing with his good friend Don, and spending time in his garden.
Charles A. Grissom Jr., 26, passed away on Wednesday September 1, 2010 at his home in Stockton. Charles (C.J.) was born in Manteca and attended schools in Manteca. He was employed by Labor Ready in Stockton and Lodi.
Terry Gail Darter,54, of Manteca, entered into the arms of the Lord on Sept. 4, 2010. She was born on Dec. 27, 1955 in Tracy to Herman Ray Green and Bettie Raye Green. She lived in Manteca most of her life.
Shirley Joanne Rice entered into rest on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2010 in Manteca. She was born in Kansas City Missouri to the late Tim and Ellen Green. In heaven she joins her parents as well as extended family members.
Mariane Catherine Weibel, age 91, passed away on September 3, 2010. She was born to Guastave R. and Wilhelmina Zielske on February 10, 1919 in Fairbault, Minnesota. The youngest of five children, she moved to California with her family in 1920.
Lloyd N. Webb passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on September 2 at Doctor's Hospital in Manteca. Lloyd was born to Norman and Pauline Webb in Midland, VA. Lloyd graduated from Washington & Lee High School in Virginia; attended Atlantic Christian Military Academy in North Carolina; graduated from Parsons College in Iowa; and Hayward State in California.
Michael William Gosnell, 40, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 4, 2010, in Manteca. He was born in Stockton April 25, 1970. Mike was a longtime resident of Manteca where he worked most of his life as a mechanic. He loved cars and belonged to the Central Valley Folkslaggin Club where he enjoyed barbecues, car shows and camping trips and boating.
Michael Bennett Fannin, formerly of Manteca, passed away on September 1, 2010 in Modesto at the age of 68. Michael B., the oldest of 11 children, was born in Kentucky, and lived in Manteca for nearly 25 years. He is survived by his oldest son James Fannin, youngest son Jon Fannin, his two granddaughters, Haylee & Allyson and his entire Fannin Family in Ohio. He was a dedicated veteran who earned the Bronze Star & Purple Heart during his tour in Vietnam. Michael B. was a loving father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
