Maxine passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Bethany Home in Ripon. She was 88 years old. She was a resident of Ripon for the past three years and a prior resident of Escalon; she was married to the late Gaither Loewenstein. She is survived by her sisters Verda Hollingsworth and Verla Long, both of Ripon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Xander Johnson, age 10, entered into the arms of our Lord suddenly on Nov. 29, 2014 in Manteca, CA. He was born in Manteca on Oct. 9, 2004. Xander leaves behind his loving parents Samuel and Theresa Johnson of Lathrop. He was the youngest of his siblings: Lance and Kyle Kirk, Heather Clausen, Chad, Dillon, Jake and Trish Whitt.
Longtime Manteca resident Ruth Odelia Dickman died peacefully on Nov 24, 2014, at age 87. Ruth passed away from natural causes with family at her side. She was born on May 25, 1927, in Konowa, Okla., the youngest of five children, and a proud member of the Potawatomi Indian Nation. Ruth moved to Manteca in her teens.
Don Alan Cox, longtime central valley resident, passed away October 24, 2014. Don was known to friends and family as Alan. He passed in the company of his wife, Laura, after a long battle with a rare form of cancer known as Sarcoma. Alan loved life, and was enthused with Nascar, bowling, being a grandpa and had a love for golfing. He was a great husband and awesome grandpa.
