He was a U.S. Army Air Corps/ Air Force veteran. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and machinist. Charles enjoyed golf, poker and volunteering at the Manteca Senior Center.

William "Bill" Weibel passed away in Stockton on January 11, 2014 at the age of 92. He was born to parents John F. and Clara I. Weibel in Hartington, Nebraska. He was the second oldest of 9 siblings. He moved with his family to Lodi in 1939 and attended St. Anne's Catholic Church. Bill enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and completed a Specialized Service and Maintenance on the Bell Interceptor airplanes. He received the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was discharged honorably in 1946 as a Sargent.

Nita Sheldon, age 80, of Manteca, CA passed away Friday, January 10, 2014, at her residence. She was born in James Town, North Dakota on December 13, 1933. Nita worked as a mail carrier at Sharps Army Depot for over 30 years. In her younger years she camped and fished often. Nita was an avid shopper and loved to dine out for breakfast or lunch. She loved her four dogs whole heartedly, and donated often to the SPCA and Humane Society.
