Daniel D. Freitas, 67, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Fresno. Dan was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer in 2004 and fought cancer with everything he had. He surpassed all odds.

He enjoyed playing bridge at Oak Park Senior Center. Doug loved being a dedicated teacher and also coaching athletics. He received a Certificate of Recognition The John R. Williams Award.

She was preceded in death by one grandson Jeff Deaton and her husband Boyd Deaton. Ruby was a resident of Lathrop for 33 years.

The Wilverding family lost its patriarch Wednesday, April 1, 2015 when George F. Wilverding Sr. succumbed after a long brave battle with cancer. Born November 18, 1933, George grew up in Scranton, PA where he started his family before moving to Manteca in 1981. George had a unique personality that always kept his family and friends amused. He was a huge fan of golf, UFC, and Mike and Mike in the morning, and of course DA-BEARS! his main hobby was Tuesday night poker with the guys.

She was born on March 5, 1920 in Tracy, California and spent her pre-school years in Pacific Grove where her father had a fishing business. Later, the family moved back to the Valley where her father became a dairy farmer in Manteca. She attended elementary and high school in Escalon and was a resident of Manteca for most of her life.
