Robert E. Poynter Sr., 68, entered into rest on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Manteca. He was born on Sept. 24, 1940 in Salam, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his mother Alma Poynter and son Gregory Guy Poynter.
Buddy Allen Chambers, 28, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009. He was born on August 10, 1981. He was the beloved son of Michael Chambers and Tanya; caring brother of Natasha Trester; loving uncle to Abigayle Trester. Buddy's beautiful heart and soul touched the lives of everyone he knew.
Stephen Mark Perez, 39, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at his home in Modesto. He died peacefully in his sleep. He is survived by his father Julian Perez. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Perez. He is also survived by three beautiful children, Julianna, Stephen, and Mateo Perez. He was born in Palo Alto, Cal. on Feb. 16, 1970. He attended Nile Garden School in Manteca and graduated from East Union High School in 1988. He worked in the Bay Area and the Central Valley in sales.
Luis Manuel Raygoza, 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2009, just one day before his 70th birthday. He was born August 28, 1939 in él Refugio, Mexico to the late Natibidad and Juana Raygoza. A resident of Ripon for over 25 years he worked as a farmer his entire life before retiring nearly 8 years ago. He leaves behind his loving wife of over 38 years, Adela Raygoza, their children: Raquel, Lourdes, Agustin, Ana Isabel, Horacio, Monica, Rebecca, Victor and Alex. Siblings, Luis Raygoza and Basilia Raygoza. He was also blessed with 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Leuterio Bernardez Bigornia, 84, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2009. A resident of Manteca for the past seven years; he was born August 4, 1925 in Bangued, Abra, Philippines to the late Cipriano & Romana Bigornia.
Frank Michael Risso, 62, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. "Mike" was born in Stockton, California, and lived most of his life in Manteca. Mike was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the carrier, USS Enterprise; then spending the remaining 23 years of his military career as a member of the California National Guard.
