Charles A. Stevens, 90, died on Sunday, March 22, in Manteca. He was born on April 8, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska. He lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, for 22 years and Manteca for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps/ Air Force veteran. He was a retired aircraft mechanic and machinist. Charles enjoyed golf, poker and volunteering at the Manteca Senior Center.

James Cross McDaniel was the oldest of nine children born to the late James and Gertrude McDaniel, of Coos Bay, Ore. When he was very young, James began working in the logging camps and the mill to help the family, where he continued to work until graduating college. He loved music and played the accordion at his church, as well as the trumpet in a national honor band which he continued through college.

Carole has live in this area for the past 43 years. She was a Registered Nurse and a longtime member of the L.D.S. Church. Carole loved gardening, camping, hiking, and outdoor activities with her family and horseback riding with her father.
