Delmira, 81 of Ripon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, May 6th at her home after a long-term illness. She was born on November 15, 1934 in Terceira, Azores to her parents Jose Pereira da Rocha and Margarida Segredo.
Arvel "Gene" Birdwell, born July 29, 1929 in McCamey, TX, passed away May 4, 2016 at the of 86. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Mary Sonia Birdwell. Gene will be greatly missed by his children, Cynthia Birdwell- Rand and husband James Rand of Livermore, Janet Linn of Citrus Heights, and Arvel Gene Birdwell Jr. of Citrus Heights.

Evelyn joins her beloved husband in heaven, Velorien Coy Branscum (Vel), as well as, her parents John and Clarabel Williams and her siblings Georgia Hart and Boyce Williams.
Alice "Spud" MacDonald was born in 1924 in Anaconda, Montana. Spud married fellow Anacondan and returning World War II naval aviator Barney MacDonald in 1946. Together with their five sons they moved to Ripon in 1964. Their sixth son was born a year later.

Clifton L. Lease, 91, passed away peacefully April 13th at his home in Ripon surrounded by his family. He was born to Roy and Bernice Lease of Escalon where he grew up. After high school Cliff joined the military serving 27 years fighting in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam. He had the distinction of working at the highly secured Air Force Base (NORAD) in Cheyenne, CO monitoring missiles. After retiring he became involved in the food industry as a chef and restaurant owner.
George Charles Courreges the afternoon of April 18, 2016, George passed away in Manteca, CA after a battle with Alzheimer's. George was born in Oakland, CA on October 17, 1935. He was the first child and son, of Dorothy and George Courreges of San Leandro, CA.
