Aileen Rose Myers, age 79, entered into rest peacefully in Manteca on March 14, 2011. She was born on October 21, 1930 in Tracy to the late Percy and Martha Morford. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Sammy Myers, two daughters, Loretta Wells and Barbrah Price, and a brother, Robert Morford.
Warren Snodgrass was born on February 2, 1936, in Manteca, CA. He went to his heavenly home on March 12, 2011. Warren attended Ripon schools and his career, which he loved, was in carpentry. He retired as superintendent of Acme Construction in 2002. Warren enjoyed water and snow skiing, 49er football, woodworking and tinkering in his shop. In his retirement, RVing was his joy, especially outings with RV friends and visiting historical sites.
Donald L. Watkins, 68, of Manteca, passed on March 11, 2011 at Dameron Hospital Stockton. Don was born on November 3, 1942 in San Francisco. Don created a happy life raising his family in Livermore and retiring to Sonora, with one final happy move to the Woodbridge community in Manteca in 2007.
Loretta Ann Davidson, 71, passed peacefully at Doctor's Hospital of Manteca on Sunday, March 6, 2011. She was born on Dec. 31, 1939 in Fortuna, California to Charles and Leta Young. On March 23, 1963 she married Davey L. Davidson. They made their home in San Jose, California where they raised their family until moving to Manteca, California in 1996.
Rebecca Nelson, 60, entered into rest on March 8, 2011 in Manteca, California. She was born on March 15, 1950 in Harrison, Arkansas to the late Mr. and Mrs. T.G. & Irene Gibbs. Rebecca joins her parents in heaven as well as her sister Cuba Gibbs.
Gerald L. Berger, 85, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2011 in Roseville, Cal. He was born on June 17, 1925 in Berkeley. He lived in Manteca for 30 years before recently moving to Citrus Heights. He was a mechanical engineering coordinator at Livermore Research Lab. He served in the United States Navy.
Frank Simmons Jr., 70, entered into rest on March 8, 2011 in Tracy, California. He was born on October 21, 1940 in Martinez, California to the late Mr. and Mrs. Frankie and Rachel Simmons Sr. He joins his parents in heaven as well as his former wife Mary (Sherer) Simmons.
John F. Bettencourt went peacefully to be with the Lord on March 2, 2011, at the age of 53. He lived all of his life in Ripon, California. He attended St. Anthony's School and Ripon High School. He was a classic car enthusiast, an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time in Pacific Grove. He was a member and Eucharist Minister at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Betty "Jean" Murray, a long-time Stockton resident passed away peacefully at Hospice House of San Joaquin at the age of 87. Jean was born in North Bend, Oregon to Bessie and Glenn Cupp on January 6, 1924 and grew up in Empire, CA. She married her high school sweetheart, Harley W. Murray in 1941 and the two later moved to Stockton to raise a family and start a business. In 1946, they established a trucking company specializing in heavy equipment hauling; soon after low bed trailer manufacturing became their primary business.
