Linda Kay Wagner, 64, of Manteca passed away June 1, 2014 in Modesto, CA. She was born to the late Richard and Kathryn DeVolt on June 30, 1949 in Hinsdale, Illinois. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Frank R. Wagner.
Helen Catherine Jevtic, 88, of Manteca, California passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. She was born Oct. 6, 1925, in North Dakota. She was the daughter of the late John Joseph Copps and Essie Catherine Spalding. Helen lived in Washington, D.C., where she attended business college during World War II. Helen lived in Manteca for the past 40 years with her late husband, Branko Jevtic, where she raised her three boys: Jim Jevtic from Texas, George Jevtic, and John Jevtic, both of Manteca. Donald MacCready, 89, entered into rest on June 6, 2014, in Modesto, Ca. He was born on Jan. 31, 1925, in Thayer, Ka., to the late Harry and Grace MacCready. He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Anna Darline, and their infant daughter Anna Marie.
Baby Christian Anthony Engel grew his angel wings on June 4, 2014. He came to this world on May 2, 2014 and spent 33 beautiful days with his loving parents Anthony and Lindsay Engel. Baby Christian is the baby brother to Brealynn and Elise Engel. His grandparents are Audrey and Christopher Parsons and Ann and Clay Horn. Christian was blessed with many aunts and uncle who loved him dearly.

Joan Mistlin, 92, of Ripon, CA passed away peacefully on May 31, 2014, in the loving care of Bethany Home, surrounded by most of her family. She was born on December 13, 1921 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Wilma and Herbert Hildebrandt. She grew up in Normal, Illinois. During the war she worked on the Manhattan Project and then joined the U.S. Marines, serving as an aviation mechanic from 1943 to 1945.
After a full life at age 100 years, 4 months and 11 days, Lottie closed her eyes after saying, "Thank you Lord" and was gone to Heaven. When she could no longer live alone, she came to her daughter Wilma's home, with help of Hospice, when discharged from hospital on October 20. Lottie had been longing for Heaven since the loss of her only son, Bob Zumwalt in 2013 at age of 70 years. She was widowed in 2004 when her husband of 67 years died.
On September 30, 2014, God called His precious one home. Roger leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Joyce. He leaves his three daughters, Toni Jo Payne (Ed), Barbara Jean Bell (Frank), Patricia Ann Patterson (Greg), his stepson, Mark William Oncay (Lisa), and his sister Virginia Manly. He leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepdaughter, Cheryl. Roger proudly served his country as a Marine.

Judith Lynn Kuhn (Judy), age 65, of Manteca, Ca., passed away in her home Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. Judy was born in Oakland, Ca., on March 25, 1949. She was the daughter to the late Leola Daisy Kuhn and Henry Kuhn. Survivors in addition to her devoted husband, George Medeiros Jr., include her beloved children: George Medeiros III, Sheri Medeiros, and Joey Medeiros. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and is also survived by her sister, Sandy Machesky, many nieces, nephews, and countless friends, including her best friend and beloved dog, Bugsy.

Raymond Strickland passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2014, at the age of 85, in Manteca, California. Ray was born on December 17, 1928, to Curtis and Ethel Strickland, in Walker Chapel, Alabama. He has resided in California for 49 years. He served 4 years in the Army and was a radio operator on the front lines of the Korean War. He held his service to our country in highest regard and treasured the American flag he kept posted on his property.

Jack Alfred McAllister of Copperopolis, CA died suddenly at his home early on the morning of October 13, 2014, from complications relating to a recent illness. He was 79. Jack is survived by his three sons: Steven and Bill of Copperopolis and Jim in Seattle. He is also survived by a granddaughter Jayme who also lives in Seattle. His older brother Bob resides in Clearlake.
