Patricia A. DuBois-Rocha, who just turned 64, passed away at Kaiser Hospital Modesto on Monday, March 8, from a long pulmonary disease, with her family by her side. She was born in Bunch, Oklahoma, to the late Lee Maloy and Pauline Shuffield coming to California at the age of six.
Julio Lara was born in Honalulu, Hawaii, on April 30,1927 and passed away at the age of 82 on Tuesday, March 9. He was a resident of Manteca for 23 years. He is survived by his loving wife Levia Lara of 60 years. Survived by his brothers Tom and Lawrence, and preceded in death by his brothers Joe and Frank. George Thomas Hays, Jr., 68, of Manteca died November 29th at his home. Dr. Hays was a native of Stockton. He lived in Manteca for 30 years. He was a chiropractor in Tracy where he worked alongside his wife and business partner Cathy for over 35 years. He was active in his community, and volunteered his residence as a polling place for 25 years. He was devoted to his patients, and had a passion for cooking. He loved reading, golf, and above else his family.

Longtime Manteca resident Ruth Odelia Dickman died peacefully on Nov 24, 2014, at age 87. Ruth passed away from natural causes with family at her side. She was born on May 25, 1927, in Konowa, Okla., the youngest of five children, and a proud member of the Potawatomi Indian Nation. Ruth moved to Manteca in her teens.
