Malachi Vincent Zaklan was born on February 1, 2010 in Modesto to Malory & Justin Zaklan of Ripon. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton; he was only 15 months old.
Mary Lou Harnden, 77, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at home in Manteca, CA surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 24, 1933 in Yutan, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Otto and Naomi Dau and her younger sister, Beverly Baker.
Thomas Toy, 82, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Stockton the same city where he was born September 20, 1928 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben and Yen Toy. As well as his parents he is preceded death by his sisters Hazel Nakashima and Ruth Lowe.
Gloria DeeLynn Casazza passed peacefully on April 15, 2011 in Manteca, CA, surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was born on March 5, 1945 in Oakland, raised in Escalon, graduated from Escalon High School, and moved to Manteca where she spent the rest of her life. She, and her loving husband, Robert were married for 43 years and lived in Manteca for 37 years with their sons, Ryan and Andrew.
Alicia "Alice" Fresquez, 81, entered into rest on April 16, 2011 in Manteca, California. She was born on January 2, 1930 in Loving, New Mexico to the late Mr. and Mrs. Quintine & Maria Mendoza. She joins her parents in heaven as well as her husband of 29 years Elisario Fresquez Sr., her son Elisario Fresquez Jr. and her siblings: David Mendoza, Esiquiel Mendoza, Moises Mendoza, Inez Ortega, Tana Delgado, Edward Mendoza, Maria Ortega, Virginia Rodriguez, and Albert Mendoza.
Leona Brown Pogue went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2011, at the age of 97 years old. She was born in Missouri on April 19, 1913. In 1948 she moved to Manteca. She worked at Manteca Cannery, Manteca Hospital and Palm Haven Rest Home.
Mary Shirley Hinkson Scharmann passed away at the age of 89 peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2011 at Doctors Hospital in Manteca. Shirley was active in the community as a beautician/business owner, dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4-H leader and avid supporter of her family. If someone needed help she was always there.
