She was born in Crows Landing to Joseph and Emily Pacheco and graduated from Patterson High School in 1947. In 1953 she married her beloved husband Stephen Blanco and moved to Escalon where she resided for the remainder of her life. Rose enjoyed a 25-year career with the US Postal Service. Jo Alva Fortuny-Davis, born December 1, 1929 and longtime resident of Manteca, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2014. A resident of St. Jude's Care Center, Jo Alva is survived by her children; Mikel Fortuny, Tina Fisher, John Fortuny III, Tony Fortuny, Ed Fortuny, her sister Pat Miller and family and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
