Pearl P. Howard, 92, a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation tribe of Oklahoma, who walked on in the path of righteousness, entered into rest on November 23, 2013, in Manteca, CA. She was born in Norman, OK on April 20, 1921. In 1941 she relocated to Galt, CA where she met and then married the love of her life. She lived in Galt, Lodi, Ripon, seven years in Walnut Grove, and 32 years on Ryer Island. She moved to Manteca in 1987.

Sander T. Severson "Steve", 86, passed away November18, 2013, at Manteca Doctors Hospital. He was born in Twin Valley, Minnesota on April 6, 1927. Mr. Severson is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Severson, his second wife Ouida Torries, one brother, and two sisters.
Melvin Duarte Luiz, age 51, died with his wife by his side at his Modesto residence on November 16, 2013. Mel was born and raised in Manteca, California. After 31 years operating Luiz Dairy in Manteca, Mel began his transition as an almond rancher shortly before his death.
Debra Starlene Braley (Debb), 46, resident of Manteca, California, passed away on November 18, 2013. She was born at Manteca Hospital on December 4, 1966, the daughter of Larry and Jane Braley. Debra attended Manteca High School and graduated in 1985.
Lesa Jayne (Burton) Hecht, passed away on November 16, 2013 at the age of 50, of Wewicke's Eucepalathy. She was born in Richmond, CA on October 19, 1962.
Jack was born in Niagara Falls, New York, on September 7, 1924 and moved to Lodi as a young child. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Stickel Carroll and his beloved wife Geneva, who passed in 2007. He leaves behind one daughter, Kathy Tucker (Mel), and three sons, Jerry (Sharon), Mike (Charleen), and Chuck Carroll (Becky), all of Manteca. Jack's grandchildren are Felix, Jason, Michael, Paula, Richard, Shawn, Chad, Jennie, David, Candace and Sean and 11great-grandchildren.
Harold W. Martin, age 84, entered into rest on November 16, 2013 in Modesto. He was born on March 23, 1929 in North Hollywood, CA, and called Manteca home since 1956. He was preceded in death in 2009 by his wife of 57 years, Maybelle G. Martin and in 1958 by his son, Dennis Martin.
Frances Williamson, 75, entered into rest on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Oakland. She was born August 10, 1938 in West Virginia to Franklin and Bernice Williamson. She leaves behind her only sibling Arnold Williamson. Frances was blessed with four nieces and nephews, Brian Williamson, Todd Williamson, Danny Williamson and Kathy Williamson.

Barbara (Petersen) Janzen, 96, of Manteca, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born October 25, 1917 in Stockton, California, and raised and educated there. She started working in the school cafeteria system and retired after a 30 year career as Food Service Director for the Manteca School District. Following her retirement, she and her husband Herman traveled extensively from Alaska to Florida.
