Robbie Lura Burgess, 98, of Manteca died Sunday, October 4, 2009. Graveside services will be held Thursday October 8. Born in Muskogee, OK. Mrs. Burgess moved to Stockton in 1946. For 30 years Mrs. Burgess was a clerk for Rough and Ready Island Defense Depot. She enjoyed church, camping and fishing, quilting, knitting and traveling, and was a member of Sequoia Heights Baptist Church. She will be missed by her family very much.
Albertha (Scheeringa) De Boer, 90, was born in Sheldon, Iowa on Sept. 13, 1919, the second child born of Samuel and Ollie Scheeringa. She was raised on a farm with her six siblings. She married Charles (Chuck) De Boer the love of her life, at the age of 18. With 3 little girls they moved from Minnesota and made their home in Ripon where Chuck found work at local dairies. After a full life at age 100 years, 4 months and 11 days, Lottie closed her eyes after saying, "Thank you Lord" and was gone to Heaven. When she could no longer live alone, she came to her daughter Wilma's home, with help of Hospice, when discharged from hospital on October 20. Lottie had been longing for Heaven since the loss of her only son, Bob Zumwalt in 2013 at age of 70 years. She was widowed in 2004 when her husband of 67 years died.
On September 30, 2014, God called His precious one home. Roger leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Joyce. He leaves his three daughters, Toni Jo Payne (Ed), Barbara Jean Bell (Frank), Patricia Ann Patterson (Greg), his stepson, Mark William Oncay (Lisa), and his sister Virginia Manly. He leaves many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and stepdaughter, Cheryl. Roger proudly served his country as a Marine.

Judith Lynn Kuhn (Judy), age 65, of Manteca, Ca., passed away in her home Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. Judy was born in Oakland, Ca., on March 25, 1949. She was the daughter to the late Leola Daisy Kuhn and Henry Kuhn. Survivors in addition to her devoted husband, George Medeiros Jr., include her beloved children: George Medeiros III, Sheri Medeiros, and Joey Medeiros. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren and five great grandchildren and is also survived by her sister, Sandy Machesky, many nieces, nephews, and countless friends, including her best friend and beloved dog, Bugsy.

Raymond Strickland passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2014, at the age of 85, in Manteca, California. Ray was born on December 17, 1928, to Curtis and Ethel Strickland, in Walker Chapel, Alabama. He has resided in California for 49 years. He served 4 years in the Army and was a radio operator on the front lines of the Korean War. He held his service to our country in highest regard and treasured the American flag he kept posted on his property.
