Mr. Torres was a Merchant Seaman in the Civil Service for 15 Years before starting his career with the University of California San Francisco Medical Center where he retired. Howard E. Huntley, 98, of Lathrop, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2009. He was born July 20, 1911 in Oakdale; he was the second of five children of the late Lyman & Ila Huntley. He lived in San Francisco for 33 years and retired from the City in 1973, where he worked for 25 years as a truck driver. He loved living in the city but in 1975 his wife Nellie persuaded him to move to Lathrop, where his ancestors were early settlers. A year after moving, his beloved wife of 28 years passed away.
David R. Tuchtenhagen, 61, after a long battle with cancer, lost his life on August 14, 2009. Dave was an exceptional husband, father and friend to all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Known as "Tuch" to all of his family and friends, David will forever be a part of their thoughts and prayers.

H. Delores (Dee) Machado McCoy, 77, of Lewiston, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho. She was born in Soquel, California to parents Elmer E. Gravelle and Ada Hackbarth. Dee was married to Paul A. Machado for 25 years. He passed away on June 29, 1972. She later married Fred H. McCoy who passed away on March 7, 2008.

The Wilverding family lost its patriarch Wednesday, April 1, 2015 when George F. Wilverding Sr. succumbed after a long brave battle with cancer. Born November 18, 1933, George grew up in Scranton, PA where he started his family before moving to Manteca in 1981. George had a unique personality that always kept his family and friends amused. He was a huge fan of golf, UFC, and Mike and Mike in the morning, and of course DA-BEARS! his main hobby was Tuesday night poker with the guys.

Evelyn Irene Webb, 95, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2015. She was born on March 5, 1920 in Tracy, California and spent her pre-school years in Pacific Grove where her father had a fishing business. Later, the family moved back to the Valley where her father became a dairy farmer in Manteca. She attended elementary and high school in Escalon and was a resident of Manteca for most of her life.
