She was a resident of Ripon for the past three years and a prior resident of Escalon; she was married to the late Gaither Loewenstein. She is survived by her sisters Verda Hollingsworth and Verla Long, both of Ripon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy Jane Eitelgeorge, 76, peacefully passed away on February 9, 2015. She was born on March 1, 1938 in Pocatello, Idaho. Much of her childhood years were spent in Idaho but she lived the last 65 years of her life in Manteca. She married, as she would often say, "a dime among nickels", Charles Eitelgeorge, in September of 1962. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

Peter James Gretchen died peacefully at home on February 4, 2015 at the age of 92. Pete was born July 10, 1922 in Saskatchewan, Canada. His family was one of the original members of the Russian Colony that settled on 140 acres of farmland outside Manteca, California in the 1920's. A close-knit community, their values of hard-work, integrity, and respect for others stayed with Pete throughout his life. He was always generous with his time, offering his skills to friends and neighbors and community organizations such as the Manteca Historical Museum.
