Sierra, EU ‘thrown a bone’ at all-VOL meeting
In an attempt to provide closure to a perplexing and emotional finish to the 2009 softball season, the Valley Oak League's eight athletic directors voted 7-1 in favor of declaring a virtual four-way tie atop the league standings at the all-VOL meeting earlier this month.

In the article entitled, "T'Wolves dominate all-VOL selections" published in Wednesday's edition of the Bulletin, Sierra High sophomore midfielder Stephanie Vanni and Manteca freshman keeper Jimi Guibor were omitted from the all-Valley Oak League selection list. Vanni, who scored 10 goals and helped on 11 assists for the 2009 VOL champions, was named to the second team. Guibor was an honorable mention. The Bulletin regrets the errors.
