CERES – The Central Valley Hawks battled valiantly for seven innings, but the squad was unable to score a run, falling to the Manteca Buffaloes 1-0 in Valley Oak League action Thursday at Central Valley.
East Union's Sac-Joaquin Section postseason hopes took a significant hit after dropping a tough 3-2 decision to the always-dangerous Weston Ranch Cougars Thursday.

RIPON – The Ripon Indians didn't waste any time in announcing their presence Wednesday at Park View Elementary when Renae McFadden planted a Kallie Jacobs pass into the back of the Ripon Christian net in the game's sixth minute.
LATHROP – The Sierra Timberwolves took advantage of every Lathrop High mistake, using five first inning walks to lead to seven runs and an easy Valley Oak League victory Wednesday.
Because Central Valley didn't have enough participants to qualify, Sierra High had its match won Tuesday before a single club came out of their bag.
With two of the three groups lounging alongside the ninth green of Manteca Golf Course, one group strolled up the fairway not knowing its scores would ultimately decide the outcome of Tuesday's highly-anticipated Valley Oak League match between Sierra and East Union highs.

RIPON - The East Union defense was suffocating Monday night, forcing host Ripon Christian to turn the ball over 31 times in a 53-25 Lancers win in a Sac-Joaquin Section Foundation basketball game. This is the 13th year for the Foundation games which provide funding for the Section's A. Dale Lacky Scholarship program. This year, 152 games were played at 81 different sites in the section with the results not counting in the teams' records. Lathrop visited Golden Valley, while Weston Ranch took on Lincoln in doubleheaders. The Sierra girls hosted Sonora.
A trio of seniors and a sophomore represent Ripon High's volleyball team on the All-Trans-Valley League team.
