TURLOCK – The ball finally started to bounce Northgate's way in the sixth inning Tuesday, but it was too little too late as Tracy American held off a late Northgate rally and won 8-6 in championship-round action of the Little League 9-10 Section 6 All-Star Tournament, setting up a winner-take-all contest tonight at Turlock American Little League.
SACRAMENTO - The Pacific Challenge Series presented by PenneyLawyers.com will have one of its most coveted races of the year with Saturday's Ron Strmiska Memorial/Firecracker 100 at Stockton 99 Speedway. The $4,000 to win race will also serve as the second round of the Tri-Holiday Series and is paired with a $2,000 to win, 60-lap Stockton Late Model race along with Grand American Modifieds, Bombers, and Mini Cups.

Trying unsuccessfully to fight off problems in the field and at the plate, the Northgate Braves gave up six runs in the fifth inning to the Tracy American on the way to a 14-3 mercy rule win for the Yankees in the championship game of the Little League District 67 Majors Tournament of Champions at Northgate Little League's Gillen Field.
TRACY - The Manteca Little League Red Sox overcame early miscues, got clutch hits up and down the lineup and a dominant relief pitching effort from A.J. Kovacs to dispatch cross-town rival Spreckels Park 10-6 in the District 67 Junior Tournament of Champions winners-bracket semifinal Friday at Monticello School.
The Stockton 99 Speedway will celebrate its 68th season of racing action with an 11 event schedule in 2016. The new schedule will highlight the return of the popular Late Model and Grand American Modified divisions and an increased emphasis on local drivers and teams.

SACRAMENTO - Manteca Little League's senior all-stars were an inning and a half away from keeping their season alive on Wednesday, but San Lorenzo scratched across three runs for an 11-9 comeback victory in the consolation final of the Division II Tournament held at American River College.
