Thirty years ago, on March 16, 1980, senior outfielder Diane Lawton slammed a triple and two singles to help East Union High's ladies' softball team to an easy 17-4 victory over Tracy High in Tracy. Lancer coach Bob Lee, whose club was aided by several Tracy errors and a bundle of walks, expressed satisfaction with his troops' efforts.
