STOCKTON - Dakota Connors threw a five-inning, mercy-shortened no-hitter to key the Northgate Yankees' 10-0 victory over the Manteca Bisons in a Little League District 67 Tournament of Champions contest at Paul E. Weston Park Thursday.
The Manteca Futbol Club United under-23 men's soccer team locked up with the Bay Oaks Earthquakes at Woodward Park Thursday in NorCal Premier Soccer Gold Division action. The visiting Earthquakes prevailed, 2-1.
STOCKTON - In a game that had more errors than hits Wednesday night, No. 9 hitter Spencer Hulsebosch laced a two-out single up the middle in the bottom of the seventh inning to score two runs and give the Northgate Reds a 9-8 walk-off win over the Weston Ranch Ports at Paul Weston Field in Little League District 67 Junior Tournament of Champion action.

Grinding on the mat throughout the past few months just started making a lot of sense to 10-year-old Jaysen Reindel after he earned a trip to the West Kids and Cadets Regional Championships in Pocatello, ID, beginning June 21 with a sixth place overall finish in the Dave Schultz Kids FS State Championships June 6 in Fresno.
Jacob Souza hit two home runs Thursday to lead the A's to a 3-0 win over the White Sox on Thursday in the Spreckels Park major championship game and with that championship the A's earned a berth in the District 67 Tournament of Champions.
