In the midst of bad news, there’s a lot of good news

I remember a story shared by a former co-worker in the Manteca Bulletin newsroom several years ago. One evening, she found herself being pulled over by a police car. She was not speeding. Her car's sticker was not expired. She couldn't think of any reason why a cop would want to talk to her.
