Reddy Kilowatt might just look good in orange

Not that anyone in the upper echelons at PG&E is going to be exchanging an executive suite at 77 Beale Street in San Francisco for a cell at Leavenworth federal prison but the firm that once was represented by the lovable Reddy Kilowatt is anything but lovable these days.

Religion resides at the heart of every human person. It might be described as a way of healing - or at least dealing with - what we call Original Sin: that black hole in the core of the human race since the Fall.

Can’t defend Obama on Bergdahl

Not even I can defend this one. Since Barack Obama was elected President, he has misstepped many times. I have defended most of those because every step he takes a step he does so with an anchor in the form of the Republican Party pulling him back. The Republicans have attempted to marginalize him since before he took office.

Veterans suffer in blame game

Around 10 years ago – I believe that time is accurate, because as I grow older, time speeds up immensely – I took my mother to the Veteran's Administration outpatient clinic in Redding for an appointment.
