McParland, Brockman schools in Science Olympiad Saturday

William McIntosh was one proud father of a George McParland Elementary School student last year. And for good reason. His son, Tyler, who was then in fifth grade, was part of the school's Science Olympiad team that brought home a big pennant for the West Northgate Drive campus.

Benefit today for Lathrop surveillance camera project

LATHROP – The Mexican-style fiesta and Mexican food buffet extravaganza to raise money for Lathrop Elementary School's surveillance cameras is taking place today from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets to the event, called Spring King and Queen Fiesta & Mexican-American food buffet, is just a donation of $1 at the door.
