STOCKTON - The Stockton Civic Theatre will present a somewhat obscure but masterful piece of musical theatre by Richard Rodgers (of the famous Rodgers and Hammerstein theme) called "I Remember Mama", from Wednesday, June 23, through Sunday, July 18.
STOCKTON - Delta College's Center for the Arts presents Ken Kesey's masterpiece, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", at Delta's Studio Theatre this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m.
Epic battles, magical creatures and wondrous winter landscapes are all part of the fantasy of the holiday favorite "The Nutcracker," performed by Capitol Ballet Company of Sacramento at Delta College's Atherton Theatre, Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
STOCKTON - Imagine that it is 1938: A time before cell phones, computers, internet, Twitter, Google, and TV. The only source for news was a newspaper or radio. You've just come in from dinner, settled yourself into a comfortable chair, turned on your radio for an evening's entertainment; suddenly the regularly scheduled program is interrupted with news of "fiery crashes from the sky," explosions, and the realization that these crashes were, indeed, landings of spaceships with hostile aliens! Their goal: annihilate everything and everyone on Earth!
Baggage Claim: A Modern Day Parable premieres Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Sequoia Heights Baptist Church and runs again at the same time on Friday. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased either at the door or in advance by calling 823-2089. All proceeds generated will help fund the youth's trip to the annual State Conference.
