TRACY – Lathrop came out in the third quarter and got two scores via the no-huddle offense and take a one-point lead, but an 80-yard scoring run by Kimball's Zack Johnson put the Jaguars ahead to stay in the 26-21 Valley Oak League win for Kimball at Don Nicholson Stadium.
Fourteen Sac-Joaquin Section playoff tickets have already been punched. After the final regular-season games are played out this week, 50 more berths will be claimed in the Divisions I-IV brackets. The Bulletin took on the painstaking task of mapping out the current postseason seeds in each division, including the six-team Division V and IV brackets, only to find out that nothing is close to be settled. RIPON – Alex Gustin wanted to test his ailing leg. The Ripon High senior injured it a few games ago. On Friday, he returned to the backfield, but this time he was taking the handoff from Jake McCreath, his replacement at quarterback. Against Riverbank, Gustin's leg passed the test with flying colors. He touched the ball four times, scoring each time in the 51-8 rout of the Bruins. More importantly, Ripon kept its playoff hopes ...
