The Bulletin encourages youth and recreation teams of all leagues from Manteca, Lathrop, Ripon and Weston Ranch to submit their results. You may drop off game information at the Bulletin office on 531 E. Yosemite, or e-mail Sports Editor Jonamar Jacinto at jjacinto@mantecabulletin.com. Please note which league and team you are representing, the age division of the game played, the date of which the game was played, final scores, standout performers with first and last names and any additional game highlights. Results must be submitted by Monday, 5 p.m., as the Bulletin’s youth roundup runs Tuesdays. Results with incomplete information will not be entered.

DUBLIN — Manteca Futbol Club’s under-14 girls Arsenal was eight minutes away from calling it a season during its NorCal Premier State Cup Final 16 match against No. 3 seed Dublin Fury Sunday at Emerald Glen Park.
One tweak in formation, two goals and eight minutes later, 14th-seeded Manteca FC celebrated a stunning 2-1 victory to advance to the quarterfinals.
Arsenal knew what it was getting into Sunday having previously played Dublin, which won handily 3-0, in a tournament in Modesto this past January.
“We knew we were up against a good team and that we had to play as close to flawless game as we could,” coach Jay Mamorno said. “We hit them in the teeth right away, came out full steam (ahead) and played amazing the whole game.
“It was the best I’ve ever seen my team play.”
As well as Arsenal performed, desperation set in after Fury pounced with a goal off a free kick in the 62nd minute. Manteca FC needed more offensive firepower, and the formation change from a 4-4-2 to a 3-4-3 did the trick.
Gina Dias tied the game on a breakaway, and she threatened to boot in the game-winner in the final minute after collecting a through ball from Taylor Teixeira. But Dias, who nearly blew past three defenders on the play, was fouled in the penalty box.
Manteca FC was awarded the penalty kick, and Piazza buried it to complete the comeback.
Defenders Molie Brady, Ebony Ezeji, Daisy Rivera and Teixeira along with goalkeeper Ashley Almeida did a good job of keeping Arsenal in the match throughout. Harley Costa was also applauded for her play at midfield.
Arsenal will next face No. 8 Boca of Sacramento on Saturday, 1:15 p.m. at Woodward Park. The winner advances to Sunday’s semifinal match which kicks off at 10:45 a.m.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the girls,” Mamorno said. “They played out of their minds and showed resiliency. It was a true team effort.”
Baum and Romero also belted two hits apiece, and Ossian Bohn legged out a double for the Giants.
They scratched across three more in each of the third and fourth frames behind a three-run double from Francisco Salcedo (2 for 3) and a solo homer from Jacob Souza.
Winning pitcher Colton Tarp struck out six batters in three innings of relief.
Abraham Velasco and Jared Fleming each had a hit for the Jays, and Patrick Silveira drove in their lone run in the third.
The TimberRattlers battled back in the fifth when they scored all of their runs. Devon Bacon highlighted the frame with an RBI triple, and Trent Luchesi added another run with a double. Steve Bunnell finished 2 for 2 to lead the T’Rattlers.
