Fred W. Leuenberger
Fred W. Leuenberger, 87, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 7, in Manteca. He was born on September 15, 1922, to Swiss immigrants, Fred and Marie Leuenberger who settled  in Wisconsin as dairy farmers. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as one sister, Hilda Leuenberger. Fred was a resident of Manteca  for 29 years.




Dorothy Lauren Bennett
Dorothy Lauren  Bennett was born January 28, 1987 in Sacramento. Dorothy passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, at her residence in Manteca, at the age of 22. She lived in Manteca all her life.




Laurie Cunial Berg
A celebration of life service for Laurie Ann Cunial Berg will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at River Lakes Community Church, 4301 Calloway Drive, Bakersfield. Graveside services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, at Redbanks Cemetery on Shaw Avenue east of Clovis, Cal. To honor Laurie’s life and spirit, please wear cheerful colors to the services.




Chantay Rae Jager Elliott
Chantay Rae Jager Elliott, 19, entered into rest on November 1, 2009. She was born on September 9, 1990 in French Camp, California.  Chantay joins her mom in heaven Marilyn Jager who passed away six years ago.




Sharon Jean Hubble
Sharon Jean Hubble, 68, died Thursday, Oct. 22 at Stanford University Hospital, Palo Alto, Cal. She was born on April 26, 1941 in French Camp. She was a resident of Lathrop for 51 years, previously of French Camp for 17 years.




Maxine E. Loewenstein
Maxine passed away on  Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Bethany Home  in Ripon. She was 88 years old. She  was a resident of Ripon for the past three years and a prior resident  of Escalon; she was married to the late  Gaither Loewenstein. She is survived by her sisters Verda Hollingsworth and Verla Long, both of Ripon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sisters Marguerite Judt and Jean Specker.




Raymond B. Park
Raymond B Park died at the  age of 79 on Sunday, November 1. He was born on October 7, 1930 in Checotah, Oklahoma, to George and Nellie Park. He had two brothers and two sisters: Harold Park, Geneva Farmer (both deceased), Bob  Park of Checotah and Nina Brown of Juneau, Alaska.  




Billie Jean Hoyer
Billie Jean Hoyer, 65, loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep in her home in Pacheco, on Thursday, Oct 29.  Billie was born in Buckeye, Arizona Jan 24,1944. She is surived by her two daughters Shelly Fowler and Tina Dunn of Manteca; sister, Betty Tucker of Concord and Helen Beck from Manteca. Billie had five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.




Specialist Kyle Andrew Coumas
Specialist Kyle Andrew Coumas, 22, of Lockeford, and Ft. Lewis, WA, died of injuries sustained on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Afghanistan. Born on August 24, 1987 in Tracy, he was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Stockton Class of 2005 where he was a member of the Chess Club and the Concert Band.

Oler Janice  Johnson, 93, of Lathrop, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, in Manteca. Born January 10, 1916 to parents Ozie and Claudie in Centerville , Arkansas, Oler was a resident of Lathrop for 63 years where she was employed for many years at Eckert Cold Storage in Manteca. Ruth Ann “Sunny” Saarloos, was born on July 1, 1942 in Paso Robles, CA and passed away peacefully on Friday, October 23, in Stockton, of cancer at the age of 67. Farhana (Lunat) Rana, 30, beloved wife and daughter, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 21, surrounded by her devoted family. Farhana was born on Jan. 17, 1979 in Modesto and moved to Stockton at a young age. She graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of the Pacific. Three years ago, Farhana got married and moved to Lawrence, MA. However, she returned to Stockton last year after becoming ill.
