Olsen has commanding Assembly lead

It might have been California’s first truly open primary. 

But, at least for California Assembly races that impact Manteca, Lathrop and Ripon, it still looks like it’ll be Republicans and Democrats going head-to-head in November runoffs. 

Modesto Republican Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen amassed nearly 65 percent of the vote in her District 12 race against Turlock’s Harinder Grewal. The two will face off again on the mid-term ballot in November.  And Stockton Democrat Susan Talamantes Eggman garnered 50 percent of the vote in the 13th Assembly District – with 24.2 percent of all precincts reporting – and will now face Republican Sol Jolbrack in November.
