Sierra High will kick off Back to School Night this week.

That’s when parents get a sample size of their student’s class schedule and a chance to meet the teachers.

Back to School Night at Sierra is Wednesday, Aug. 13, beginning at 5:45 in the large gym.

Assistant Principal Dan Beukelman noted that after the initial meeting, parents will then proceed to follow their student’s actual school schedule. They’re also encouraged to bring that school schedule.

“Each ‘class’ will last 15 minutes and then parents will move to a different classroom,” he said.

The school staff will also introduced.

In addition, Lathrop High will have its Back to Night next week on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 5:45 to 7:45.

The event starts in the large gym.

At East Union, Back to School Night is scheduled on Wednesday, Aug. 27, beginning at 5 o’clock in the quad.

During that time, vendors of all sorts will be available while the school’s music department will be performing.

The abbreviated class schedule begins at 6 o’clock.

Manteca High’s Back to School Night is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3. Plans are still in the works, as of Friday.
