Kindergarten orientation, registration dates set for Ripon Unified students

Ripon Unified is gearing up for kindergarten orientation and registration for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.
Kindergarten Orientation is being held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Park View Elementary School Multi-Use Building.
 Topics to be covered at the orientation include district placement and attendance policies, Head Start, transportation, RAP after school care, immunization requirements, and documents required for registration. Spanish speaking paraprofessionals will be available to assist families with limited English. More information is available on the district website at:
The Ripon Unified School District kindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year is being held from 4 to 7 p.m. ion Tuesday, March 13, n the Park View Elementary School Multi-Use Building.
Children are eligible to begin kindergarten if they will be five years old on or before Sept. 1 of their enrollment year. Children, who turn five between Sept. 2 and Dec. 2 of their enrollment year, will be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten.   Assistance will also be available for online completion at registration. 
Families may also submit Ripon Unified registrations for 2018-19, for grades 1-12 at TK/kindergarten registration. After March 13, elementary registration forms will be received at elementary school sites and registration for high school students will be taken at Ripon High School counseling office.  All registration forms must be completed and turned in by 4 p.m. Friday, March 16, to be in the first round of student placements.
Completed elementary registration packets will be time/date stamped upon receipt, after Friday, March 16, for placement purposes.
