Free monthly Movies At The Point

STOCKTON — The free Movies At The Point offered by the City of Stockton Community Services Department starts June 13.

Sit under the stars at the Weber Point Event Center in downtown Stockton and enjoy free PG-rated movies with family and friends.

 Movies At The Point is a new series featuring a different movie the second Friday of every month.

The gates to Weber Point Event Center open at 6:30 p.m., and all movies begin at dusk. Admission is free and seating is first-come, first-serve. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic-style dinners. Concessions will also be available to purchase an assortment of snacks. To ensure a family-friendly and safe environment, alcohol and smoking is not permitted in the park.

The movies are:

• Friday, June 13: “The Sandlot”

• Friday, July 13: “Rise of the Guardians”

• Friday, Aug. 8: “Despicable Me 2”

• Friday, Sept. 12: “Monsters University”

• Friday, Oct. 10: “The Haunted Mansion”
