Ronald McDonald is eating Jared’s dust.

Subway Sandwiches recently opened their seventh Manteca location.

The new location is in the Burlington Coat Factory Center on South Main Street where you can find one of the city’s three Jack in the Box fast food stops.

Also Domino’s Pizza is making a comeback with a location due to open in the coming months on the northwest corner of Main Street and North Street.

Meanwhile McDonald’s on Thursday opened its replacement store at Commerce Avenue and East Yosemite Avenue for the city’s original golden arches located just down the street next to a vacant lot where Panera Bread plans to start construction on its first Manteca location later this year. The building and site of the original McDonald’s is owned by Marie Raymus. If it suffers the same fate as the old Ripon McDonald’s you could one day see an independent operating there such as at the My Garden in Ripon.

Since it’s a replacement Manteca still has five McDonald’s. The third Taco Bell is being built next to the McDonald’s at Airport Way and Daniels Street later this year.

Other Subways are at the Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley, on Union Road in the Manteca Marketplace, in the Raley’s Shopping Center at Union and Lathrop roads, in the Stadium Retail Center at Airport Way and the 120 Bypass, North Main Street in the SaveMart center, and on East Yosemite Avenue in Spreckels Marketplace anchored by Food-4-Less.
