February 7, 1942 to June 2, 2014

Samuel Lee Roberts Sr., 72 entered into rest on June 2, 2014 in Manteca. He was born on February 7, 1942 to Harold and Leona Roberts. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his loving wife Judith Roberts, son Dale Roberts, daughter Debbie Frye and sister Helen.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his children; Danny Roberts (Vivian), Dean Roberts (Brenda) Teresa Weber (Brett), Kelly Hernandez (Steve), Bettina Boyle (Richard), Samuel Roberts Jr. (Doreen) and daughter-in-law (wife of the late Dale Roberts) Sheila Roberts. His siblings are John Roberts, Loretta Glandorf, Bob Roberts, Dave Roberts, Patty Imhoff, Jim Roberts, and Kay McMann. In addition Samuel was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

As a business owner of Budget Dry-Wall; Sam was in construction for over 22 years in Manteca. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and the United States Golf Association. He enjoyed spreading the word witnessing door to door with his fellow Jehovah Witnesses; as he was faithful member to both Manteca and Indio Kingdom Halls. He was an avid fan of both the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland A’s. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing and relaxing out by the water and people watching at any event. Sam’s passion was golfing as he would golf all over California with family and friends. Among all Sam’s enjoyments his true love was his wife Judith; he was always loving and devoted to her both in life and in death, his love for her was unconditional. Sam was an amazing father and grandfather always caring and giving without reserve. Sam will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who loved God and family.
