Dennis Leroy Ross Sr.

Dennis Ross, 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Linden, CA, on June 19, 2014. He was born in Chico on October 9, 1946.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Clark, his father, Jackson Ross, and step-father, Ralph Daniels. He leaves behind his children; Dennis Ross Jr., Jason Ross (Jennifer), Tiffany Ross Haws, and Jeremy Ross (Mandy), 19 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, his brother Arnie Daniels and his family.
Dennis lived the majority of his life in Hayward, CA. He was a radio operator with the United States Army, decorated with Sharpshooter and National Defense Service Medals, before being honorably discharged in 1969. He was a warehouseman for Lucent Technologies, also known as AT&T, for 28 years. He moved to the Linden area in 2012 to be with his daughter.
Dennis was a simple man, very frugal, patient, and mild mannered. He was a creature of habit, who did not like change. He loved his children and grandchildren and was always willing to help or lend a hand, but you could bet on the fact he would be sure to calculate to the penny exactly what was owed either way. He liked things simple and fair. He had a firm belief that everyone can stand on their own two feet and shouldn’t depend on others. He had a very forgiving heart and not a hateful bone in his body. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
There will be a viewing Thursday, June 26, 2014,
10 a.m. - 5 p.m., at ABC Wallace Funeral Services, 445 North American St., Stockton, CA 95202.  For more information go to www.abcfh.com. Burial with military honors will be Friday, June 27, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Oddfellows Cemetery, County Rd P, Orland, CA 95963
