 Chris Brumm died peacefully of complications from cancer at Alexander Cohen Hospice House on December 10, 2016.  He was a resident of Manteca/Ripon for six years.
   Dr. Chris Arthur Brumm was born June 3, 1962 in Waukesha, WI to Phyllis and Norman Brumm.  He grew up in Wisconsin, became an engineer, married Susan Kipfer, and settled in Georgia where his two children, Marjorie and Robert, were born.  Chris worked in factory automation for over 30 years. He began on the shop floor, became a draftsman, an engineer, engineering manager, and finally Vice President. Chris ended his career at Power Automation Systems in Lathrop, CA where he was Vice President of Engineering and Operations.  He holds patents for several inventions, including one for Shuttleworth’s Star Roller. 
Education was extremely important to Chris.  He was a life long learner and eventually achieved three master’s degrees and a doctorate.  Chris was active in the churches he attended in Wisconsin, Georgia, Indiana, and California. He served on the local boards of the United Way and Habitat for Humanity.  Chris also taught classes for University of Phoenix, Huntington University, and Indiana Wesleyan University.  Chris loved science fiction, astronomy, tennis, sailing, traveling, and watching movies.
   Chris is survived by his wife of over 30 years, his children Marjorie and Robert, his mother, Phyllis Daniel (Glenn), his sisters Linda Roth (Mark) and Nancy Nolan, and his brother Norman. He is also survived by his cousin Sharon Medrich (Elliott), 14 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Chris was a loving husband, a wonderful father, and a good friend. He is missed.
   Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Grace Church, in Manteca. For condolences to the family, please visit his online guestbook at www.deeganfuneralchapels.
