Born on June 5, 1918 in Kansas, Ruth F. Gaar, entered into rest on June 30, 2017 in Stockton, CA, she was 99 years old. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Peck Gaar, children, Lyle Gardner, Gary Gardner, Jerry Gardner and Janice Gardner.
 Ms. Gaar is survived by her children, Danny and Kenneth Gardner, 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Ruth was a caregiver for over 25 years. She was a lifetime resident of Manteca where she and her late husband raised Quarter Horses and Angus Beef Cattle on French Camp Road before it became French Camp Golf and RV. Ruth was an extremely intelligent lady who loved to journal her life experiences. She was a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge, both in Manteca.

She enjoyed attending the horse races, playing Portuguese dice, and taking trips to local casinos. She will be remembered for her giving and strong heart, her caring spirit and her devoted friendship to others.
P.L. Fry & Son is honored to be serving the Gaar family. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 6, 2017,1 p.m. to 5 p.m. held at P.L. Fry & Son, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. A graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, 3661 E. French Camp Rd., Manteca, on Friday July 7, 2017 at 11 a.m. An online guest book is available for condolences to the family at
