Dorothy May Wells, age 98, entered into rest on July 6, 2017 in Manteca.  She was born on September 12, 1918 in New York to the late Jerome and Margaret Kerrigan. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everette Albert Wells, her son, Robert Burris, and daughter, Gladys Birk.
   Dorothy leaves behind her daughter, Dorothy Hammond, nine grandchildren, Denise Bowlin, Theresa Palino, Stacey Morales, Robin Wisley, Carrie Rodrigues, Sherrie Price, Shirley Foley, Tamara Davis and Ronald Knapp; 32 great grandchildren, and 47 great great grandchildren.
   Dorothy moved to Manteca eight years ago to be closer to family. She was previously of both Hayward and Florida. She loved traveling which included cruises and many trips to Hawaii. She enjoyed crocheting, visiting local casinos and bowling where she hit a perfect 300 several times. While living in Hayward, Dorothy volunteered as an Auxiliary member of the Hayward Police Department and volunteered many hours with the Florida Senior Center.
   PL Fry & Son Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Wells family. A visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 28, from 1pm to 5pm at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, Manteca. 
   A Chapel service will be held on Sunday, July 30 at 2:30 p.m. also at PL Fry & Son Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at The Mausoleum, Tracy.  An online guestbook is available at www.plfryandson.com for condolences to the family.
