John Kuras

John Kuras passed away on August 18, 2017 in Manteca. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 18,1937 to the late Rosealia Zydek and the late John Kuras, Sr. He was a proud Chicago resident for almost 50 years before moving to Massachusetts, Florida and settling in Manteca in 2011. In heaven he joins his parents, his beloved son Jeffery, his siblings, his nephew Steve and many loved family members and friends.
   John is survived by his loving wife Beverly (Whitney), his daughter Cynthia, his step children Randy, Rhonda, Brenda, Walt, Bonnie and Donna. He was blessed with five grandchildren and five great grandchildren and several nieces nephews.
   John was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed spending time with his good friends at Almond Blossom Estates. He did volunteer work at several food banks. He loved playing practical jokes, cooking and fishing. He was known for his sense of humor, his big heart, his love of family and his devotion to his dog Lulu.
   Arrangements will be private and any remembrances can be made to the American Cancer Society.
