David A. Armstrong

David A. Armstrong, born February 16, 1930, joined his wife of 60 years, Mama Gerrie on December 26, 2017.  He is survived by his three daughters Maria, Betty, Jerrilynn, 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his beloved cat Freddie.
A native of California, David was a resident of Manteca for the past 17 years and 50+ years of Alameda County. He graduated from Alameda High, Honorable Discharge from the Federal Coast Guard and retired from Waste Management.
In retirement David became a collector of classic cars, slot machines and Radio Flyer pedal cars. His hobbies included fishing in Baja, Mexico, swap meets, Danville Dukes, Nuts & Bolts of Manteca, breakfast and lunch with the “boys.”
You would always see David chatting it up with someone, even a stranger. He made friends with many and will be greatly missed by everyone.
An Open House will be held on Wednesday, January 17 at Dave’s residence at 12 noon.
