RIPON — Ripon Christian’s reign in the Southern Athletic League had already ended before its regular-season finale with Waterford on Thursday, but the Knights didn’t let it spoil their night for the seniors.

Fourth-year varsity player Paige Vos accumulated 14 kills, three aces and five digs to lead Ripon Christian’s 25-8, 25-11, 25-8 sweep.

Orestimba (13-1 SAL, 21-10 overall) clinched its first league title since 2009 with its four-game win over third-place Le Grand on Wednesday. Ripon Christian (12-2, 17-14) had claimed the last six.

“It was senior night and the girls came out having fun,” Ripon Christian coach Jocelyn Benziger said. “They managed to be relaxed and work hard, which made for an awesome night.”

Senior Bethany Silveira produced six aces and 10 digs. Makenzie Miller had eight kills, while Renae Heida and Taylor Anema had five each. Taylor Alger distributed 31 assists, while Kendra Ban Rys collected 11 digs.
