Toledo cards 110 at Masters Tournament

Myra Toledo of Ripon was the lone participant from the area to compete in the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Tournament on Monday.

STOCKTON — Ripon sophomore Myra Toledo gained valuable experience Monday at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters Tournament at The Reserve at Spanos Park, where she was the only local competitor to compete.

One of just three individuals to qualify out of the SJS Division V Tournament, she finished with a 110.

Granite Bay broke a tournament team record with a 365 with low medalist Sienna Lyford carding a 3-over 69. Oak Ridge (392) and Pleasant Grove (414) will join the Grizzlies at the CIF Northern California Regional Championships held at Sierra View Country Club in Roseville next Monday, Nov. 6.

Earning individual berths to the NorCal tourney were Davis’ Marie Dean (71), Liberty Ranch’s Jacqueline Schmidt (73), Lincoln’s Anitra Thoth (73) and McClatchy’s Kayla Diaz (73).

Valley Oak League champion Oakdale placed fifth in the team standings with a 429 score. Andrea York led the Mustangs with a 78, and two-time VOL MVP Taylor Stewart shot an 80.

Valley Foothill League North Division champion Escalon took 15th with a 535 and was paced by Madison Kindberg’s 90.
