It seems nothing can slow down the Dash these days.

The Manteca Futbol Club’s under-10 girls soccer team notched their second straight tournament victory this past weekend with an impressive showing in Davis.

The Dash outscored their opponents 14-4 in four matches and earned the Davis Legacy championship trophy with a hard-fought win over a regional power.

MFC topped the San Juan Spirits’ 05 Blue in the final, 4-3.

It would be the Dash’s closest game all weekend.

Leslie Mangskau, Jocelyn Roa and Maddie Iniguez were credited with providing a consistent scoring threat, while midfielders Cami Silva, Vylette Fregoso and Deanna Ceballos were hailed for their passing in the midfield.

Defenders Zoie Willson, Preeya Singh, Julianna Rodriguez and Annika Beall anchored a defense that allowed just one goal during the preliminary rounds.

MFC topped Santa Rosa United in its opener, 3-1, and then shut out USA Stars and Galaxy Blues 4-0 and 3-0, respectively.

The tournament victory comes just two weeks after the Dash’s championship run at the Santa Cruz Breakers Cup on Aug. 2-3.
